Elements no 104-106 have been wrongly named. Element no 104 is rutherfordium, element no 105 is dubnium and element no 106 is seaborgium.

let's mark all the answers as spam.
By: Dracopol. on 08 Sep 10, 00:37:54
Easy. When an element is still unnamed, it is given a name made up of Latin numbers such as "nil" (0) and "Un" (1) to show the atomic number. Observe atomic number 110. Formally by this system it should be Ununnilium (Uun) but they mistakenly printed it as Unn!

Shouldn't Lanthanum be in the Lanthanide series, and Actinium in the Actinide series?

Isn't dubnium supposed to be 105 instead of 104??
By: Phacias. on 07 Sep 10, 21:43:46
@halla369 Your answer is correct.
By: halla369. on 07 Sep 10, 18:22:20
element nr 110 is named unn instead of Uun perhaps?
By: ItsScienceBitch. on 07 Sep 10, 18:20:05
Its so obvious now, feeling pretty silly.
By: opiumgland. on 07 Sep 10, 15:26:42
lol at the many dislexic and colorblind responders: 1) Hydrogen and Helium ARE a different color than the transition elements 2) Jl is an uppercase J followed by a lowercase L. There is no element Ji on that table.
By: dominic14061995. on 07 Sep 10, 14:48:16
@T0mNZ Actually it's okay. But some periodic tables place hydrogen isolated from the other elements since they say that hydrogen is not an alkali metal, so it doesn't belong to group 1. However, since it does have only one valence electron, it could be placed in this same group as well.
By: opiumgland. on 07 Sep 10, 14:29:55
@ButterflyNM14 That's what they want you to believe.

@MACAO9991 Was I even talking to you?
By: MACAO9991. on 07 Sep 10, 12:54:23
There are two things: Jl (joliotium) - 106, now it's Sg- 106 and Hn (hanium) - 108, now it's Hs - 108
By: MACAO9991. on 07 Sep 10, 12:52:05
Joliotium - 106 and Hanium - 108
By: AlexSh789. on 07 Sep 10, 12:16:46
@Zangetsu333 No, the Jl should have been switched because the chemical symbols are all based on the Latin alphabet, and J doesn't exist in the Latin alphabet.
By: T0mNZ. on 07 Sep 10, 11:47:37
@dominic14061995 Whats wrong with hydrogen being above group one? group is related to valency. Hydrogen has one valence electron just like sodium and potassium.
By: Intskyste. on 07 Sep 10, 11:07:12
If you're meaning the ordering of the elements then most printed periodic tables go out of date pretty quickly for various reasons anyway, so one from 1997 will have quite a few 'errors' looking at it today =P -But yes, 110 would be Uun instead of Unn since the second digit is 1 not 0; un not nil =D
By: YellowMagi. on 07 Sep 10, 10:42:33
If the prof can't see it, how can i see it?
By: Softyx07. on 07 Sep 10, 10:03:42
found it! As a matter of fact: Unn would be the systematic name for element 100? wouldn't it? So it has to be Uun?
By: periodicvideos. on 07 Sep 10, 09:57:08
See blog link under the video for information about the answer we were looking for!
By: melekhthechanger88. on 07 Sep 10, 09:44:40
well Unn I think is Ds now after Darmstatium but thats the only thing I found find, whats the other one?
By: Pazma1. on 07 Sep 10, 09:02:32
Ha, I've finally figured it out: it's shopped, you can tell by the shadows.
